Believe It or Not – Dunia Penerbangan Indonesia

It has been almost 70 years, since 1946 until now, we even have to ask permission to Aviation Authority of Singapore if we want to fly any plane from Tanjung Pinang to Pekanbaru in the Republic of Indonesia own sovereignty. The same condition also applies for the flight from Natuna Island to Batam and other flights in the Malacca Strait region.

In the last 15 years, despite the real growth of passenger aircraft continued to increase every year, this did not receive attention at all. As a result, Cengkareng airport forced to serve passengers number to three times higher than maximum capacity.

Although it’s already more than 60 years, our flight service management still not capable of uniting the airport tax (charge to passenger service in the price of plane tickets). Instead of, Garuda who successful doing it for two years is ‘forced’ to go back with a separate payment of airport tax, which means the back to the ‘primitive’ manner of flight services.

Because of it all, among others, that caused us great difficulty to adjust to various international aviation safety regulations.
